    Hello from the States

New member, thought I'd say Hello. Hope everyone is doing as well as possible with everything happening in the world lately.

I have wanted to do a kit for some time, and at least here in the US, most of the kits I found online didn't impress me, didn't have good reviews, or just made me a little leery. I came across a link to Pitbull a few days ago and decided to order the DM-1F model. No headstock modifications to do, bolt on neck and a simple pup and tailpiece. Hopefully something that even I won't screw up in the process of building. Plan on doing just an oil finish on it, as I love the look of wood as is, without solid colors or a ton of finish on it.

Hoping to learn more here and eventually step up to more complex builds.

Also, if there is a thread here for unique one-offs, prototypes or something along those lines ( not Pitbull builds ), I have a couple I'd like to share some pictures of, maybe will give someone here a little inspiration for something different.

    Stay safe ....

Welcome! I am looking forward to seeing your other work. My talents don't lie in that direction (just completing a kit is a challenge). Always happy to see what others are up to though.

Thanks jugglindan. Actually, the other ones I mentioned are not guitars I have worked on, but they are unique guitars that I own. I'll post them soon.

Greatings from someone else in the US. I think I got her the same way as you. Some very unique kits here. I have stayed largely because of the community. The forum is full of really helpful folks. They are overwhelmingly positive, and full of tips that will help even the noobiest noob (like me ;-)
