Hi from sunny but cold Northumberland UK

I am a newbie to this forum although I have been visiting for the last week or so.
67, retired and now too much time on my hands.

I recently finished my first kit build - an SG clone with my own style of airbrush artwork on it. I will post pictures in the next week or so. (Not a Pit Bull but decent nonetheless)

Having finished it for my daughter, I felt the need to build one for myself but it needed to be specific, an ES-335 with a bigsby, flame or quilt finish, gold hardware.
That eventually led me to Pit Bull Guitars.

I have now ordered the ES-1GT. Corresponded with Adam a bit which has been superb.
Next job is to order the hardware I have identified.

I already have 6 guitars but I guess you can never have too many and I must be able to play one of them.

I intend to photo the build process (good and bad) and then post the results - cannot wait!
See you all in the workshop!

    Ricky

Hi and welcome, Ricky. Sunny and a bit warmer down in Berkshire ATM. Shorts and T-shirt on. I have a B-I-L in Cramlington.

I've got 26 guitars and still want more - just don't have the space to keep them!

Start a build diary and post the pics of your SG kit in the Non-Pitbull Guitars section. https://www.buildyourownguitar.com.a...splay.php?f=53

    Thanks Simon.
26 guitars??? I will use you as my excuse to build more!

Cramlington is just down the road from me - I am in Newbiggin.

Also, hi Ricky. The 335 is a beautiful icon of a guitar. Your kit shows good taste. Definitely start a build diary. My build would be in a complete mess without the help of this forum.

    Thanks Jugglindan.

I have always loved the look of the semi-hollow guitars. I think it is the 'f' hole that does it.
Added to that I like the more mellow tones and jazz sounds that they produce.

I will do a build diary for sure.
I am also sure I will be asking many questions along the way.
