Congratulations Adam And Tim. Just getting back into building again and look forward to buying some more parts.

I'm another one late to catch up with the news.
I started this journey almost from the beginning of PBG and this journey has been life changing for me.
I want to take the opportunity to thank...
Just a quick Postscript.
This is just to give a shout out to Adam (Mr. Pitbull).
As mentioned earlier in this thread I had a problem with a Tonerider pickup. I emailed Adam explaining the...
Got to agree with everybody else BD, very cool. I like the (I don't care if its not perfect) vibe.

Headstock. Another left over piece of the scratch plate used for truss rod cover. The cover and the bone nut, both “aged” appropriately.

Finally finished, well sort of.
Lyn #20 continued to fight all the way to the finish but all in all I’m pretty happy how she turned out.
She was never going to be a pretty guitar but...

Looks great Trevor, that colour is perfect for an SG.

Hi and a belated welcome Harry;).
Guitar is looking good, and I really like the graphics.

Great burst Ozz, c'mon, tell us your secret.
Well done Jmax.
Nah, the bass has a rosewood fingerboard. A nice clean cut where the veneer joins FB, smooth it out with a bit of sanding, and cover it with Tru-oil or your finish of choice and you won't even see...
I think mine was even thinner than that. The veneer has to shape/conform to the shape of the headstock where it transitions through the truss rod area up to the nut. I used a homemade caul (I think...
Thanks fender ;)
No DM, no extra sanding other than to get a finish with some "toothe" that the glue could bind to. The headstock veneer that I used is the ultra thin stuff. Way, way less than 1mm thick. Its purely...
Hey DM, I wanted to do a similar thing with the headstock of a 4 string fretless build. Handmade a plug and covered both front and back with some maple headstock veneer. Even at close inspection its...
