I don’t think the pick guard suits the pine grain finish. Maybe if it was a dark solid colour instead I’d change my mind because the pick guard does have a certain flare.

Sometimes the bridge pickup is a bit wider to match the wider string spacing, but I’ve not made one of these so I don’t know for sure.
