Found this on FB market. Kenosha, WI USA $40. Pretty sure it's a PB, but no way to be sure. A bit different than my IB-6S. Maybe an earlier version (mine is 2021)?........... same company?............
Went to install the tuners and the nuts need to be trimmed down about 1/8".
That's what lathes are for......

Let's see how this works out. Getting back in the swing of things. Couple curve balls in life. Now I have lots of projects to finish.
This is from a fella in California. Every bit of 6.5 to...
I don't think that other zero glide is coming in. Sketchy-azz website. Maybe it'll show up in a week or two. Lol. In the mean time, going with the stock nut. Tired of waiting.

That looks great! I'm very mystified about how I have seen some builds that don't seem to reflect the yellow tint of the true-oil. Did it change the color on yours?

Can't even get bushings in this size (for a reasonable price). Nice project for the mini lathe. I'll turn up some nice fitting aluminum bushings. Just ordered the material. More to come! Cheers!

The maple fretboard has a slot in the nut channel that matches the depth of the fret slots. A matching piece of fretwire should drop right in there. I could offset the fretwire by removing one side...
Picked up a Zero Glide nut for this guitar, and noticed the nut slot already had a slot for a real zero fret! NO EFFIN WAY!! Going to get a piece of fretwire and shape a nut for it. The Zero Glide...
So, check this out. I bought one of these nuts for a china tele (non-PB......I know!...[emoji849]). Looking at the fretboard, and it's already slotted for a zero fret! 42498

Going to stick with the pickled oak. One or two more applications. Do the neck in a similar fashion. Blue jeans and blonde. The black pickup rings may get changed though. The binding is...
I like it. It sanded out nice and smooth with no loss of color. Time to scrape all the tiny bindings on the f-holes, then start on the neck joint and cut the headstock (On a gr-1sf?!........ yes, ...
Waiting for the black to dry so I can sand it smooth. Might get another coat of black after sanding. Well see how it turns out. Kind of a dark plum purple stain with mild pink grain highlights....
Makes a great base color for a very purple burgundy color. I just can't do a pink guitar. It was done with black, oil based stain over the pink. 42404

Uh-oh![emoji2962] It dried to pink! Not regular pink, but HOT pink! 42403

This is getting wipe-on poly. The amber hue took care of darkening the natural binding stripe. The headstock is getting cleared as well. Back of the neck will be bare. It's already coated with...
