Thanks Dingobass.
I figured, maybe i should prefer another wood for body under shellac finish. Basswood is too simple and shellac is crying to get some more veins. But I think I'll keep in mind to...
Thank you Fretworn. :)
Thanks Stan. There are some choices that can be made and applied on a build here, but I prefered shellac. It's fun to work with.
Thanks Andrew. I'll keep posting the updates on my build and my food practice of course :)
Thank you wokka. I try to do my best. Colour was my teenage choice :) But I think it is a good one. (Not mybuild , the colour RED :) )
Thanks, I hope it will be better when completed.
Thanks Gavin. It was also very interesting for me. Perhaps I should take a few photos of my trials to get an appliable color. All my effort was to keep the ingredients minimum and affordable nearby....
Thanks Nomis, I also can't wait to see it finished and played :) But it's so slow for me.
Well my friends, I'll keep posting here when I get a result. But excuse me for not working too hard on my project. :)

I'm applying the 20th french polish layer now. Because I had done a lot of mistakes in the early phases. I didn't noticed them since the french...
Nowadays I'm trying to apply a french polishing technique but I can't spare enough time for my build. But it is going on :) and I hope it will finish soon. :)

I didn't always work on my project with an empty stomach ;)

I did a 5 layer of red color. Each of them had 7 days delay and after the final red I waited for 2 weeks to get it set. After 2 weeks, I covered my red color with 5 layers of my primary (filling...
This looked pretty to me so it was The Red calling me :)

Then the 3rd layer. The color was now beginning to get set.

4th one :)

The Yellow was easy to work with and 3 coats (each of them has two ways - going down / going up - and all of them has 1 week delay)
Then came the orange... I couldn't guess it was the trickiest...
I always wanted a hot rod red Fender Stratocaster since high school. So I decided to finish this with red. Coloring shellac was a question for me but I did some research and boiled my formula again...
I cut a cork into half and used as a sanding block. It's practical to use a little pressure with it and since it has a round outer surface it can also be used in curved edges easily...
Then came the filling coat. It was my first time applying shellac in my life to any object so I was curious if I can do it. I worked with a brush by the way.

I did a good a few coats...
