Bloody nice job mate.....very nice.
As if you're going to stop at building only one guitar! ah ha ha. So much to learn.
Covering up a mistake! ha ha.

This is what I did with my pickguard to show off the quilted top.
Love the gold with black guard. I think non standard colours would br a good selling point.
Oh dear....How many monsters have I created?!? Just remember though...if you want a pure Tele, then make a pure Tele. If you want something different then make something different. Saying that, I...
I have the control plate reversed and play pretty hard (who doesn't after a few drinks at a party?) and don't have a problem with it popping out or in....the volume pot that is.
Here's my two cents. I made a Tele with an Artist Bullbucker humbucker in the neck and a Tonerider Hot classic in the bridge, 3 way switch, 50's wiring with no treble bleed, 500k push-push pot in the...
Looking good mate so far.
Do the mock build first, measure your scale length as all guitars have slight variations, better to do as much drilling and preparation before doing the finishing....
Is it possible to get a body with a veneer but without binding? Just for an idea I had last night.
Maybe with a GS-2 style headstock to keep the symmetry?
Has anyone suggested a double cut Tele? With a Hs and HH option too? What do you guys think??
I had trouble with my ES335 build too. I used Goof Off ( available at the big green shed ) then had to restain the area but it came up perfect, couldn't see the difference.
Apparently, they are low impedance single coils. Ideal for recording straight into a desk...so Les sez,
The pickups look like the same as I have on my 72 LP Recording. Great pickups, lots of tones, designed and used by Les for years. Also sound great through a Marshall with plenty of gain too. Great...
Just remember....No Tru Oil on Blue. It will turn green after a while.
Nice work. I had a quick look at one of those at the shop in St Peters in Sydney a while ago but wasn't looking to buy one. My first thought was nice quality but weighed a ton. I didn't get to plug...
I bought a power supply, leads and tuner for my pedal board. The power supply brand is "Power Prof" and the tuner is "Rowin". No problems so far and the tuner is very accurate with a true bypass....
Awesome work!
FWIW. I love playing blues and rock like yourself. I don't use alot of distortion but love a good overdrive. So as Les Paul used to say "if you have a good clean signal, you can take it from there"...
Nice work KC.
Looks killer!
Welcome aboard and what a great way to spend Coronavirus! Good luck, be patient and ask questions.
Beautiful job
