    Having tried Tru-Oil on the fingerboard, I'd opt for a hard poly finish.
    Tru-Oil seems to rub off for me.
    Raw maple is too stark for my liking but each to their own.

    Therefore the hole will be slightly wider too.
    I would go for a strat 'blank' and cut my own holes....
