You were right! I did a bit more research on YouTube, then looked at the jack on my PRS and I see I had them reversed. Just swapped them back and it sounds great! Thanks for the response. I'll leave...

So I just finished my first ever build. Really happy with the end result. Until I plugged it in. It's just a horrible loud buzzing noise. I'm new to this and only soldered 3 wires. I used my...
Looks fantastic! Nice job. I finished mine today. I'm in Seattle, USA so I went with a Seattle Sounders color scheme that's similar to yours. I'm really happy with this guitar EXCEPT when I plugged...
FINISHED!!
The Floyd Rose took a while to set up going back and forth but works fine now. Not sure what I've messed up with the wiring but it sounds like hell when I plug it in. Just loud noise. I...
Final buff and polish done. Bolt-on neck attached, Grover locking tuners installed and copper tape put in all the cavities.

Thank you so much! I'll try that out.
Hello. I am at the stage where I'm ready to start the final assembly but I'm very new to the wiring end of things. Here is a link to the SV-1 wiring diagram:...
I ended up with about 5-6 coats of Crystalac Brite Tone and let it cure for a little over a week. I then wet sanded with 1200 grit sandpaper and I'm on to the final polish and buffing stage. I think...
I think I ended up with 5-6 coats of Crystalac Brite Tone top coat at this point. I'll let it sit and cure for a week or so before level sanding and final buffing.

Another question gentlemen... I added one coat of clear grain filler when I was happy with the overall color. I thought it best to do a light sand before a second coat. I used a fine P500 grit (maybe...
After a bit of touch up, I've add 2 coats of clear wood grain filler. When this dries I'll spray 3-4 coats of sanding sealer and then on to the final top coat!

Very close now to being happy and moving on to the clear coating...

Thanks for the suggestions gents. I'll see if I can sand back the areas and re-stain those spots.
Thanks, it's getting there.
Hello all, I have a few spots that don't seem to want to accept the stain. I used a grain filler with a dark tint as my first coat, then sanded most of it away to create some contrast in the grain....
Toning down the yellow a bit and adding the dark blue in the neck area.

Hello everyone. So excited to be part of this community. I received my SV-1 last week and started on it today. I put up a build log on an old website i don't use much anymore. I'll be posting along...
Hey Greg, I am getting my SV-1 today (Christmas gift also) and it's my first ever build. I'll be learning from your progress! Looking good!
