Well done Rob, loved this machine from the start .
Well done Judges, another hard month!
Frankly I was surprised to see my ST on the list , but thanks.
Wonder what next month will bring ?!
Looking good! The bar is already set high on the SGD/EDS.
Nice start, very neat idea.
Not bad at all. This one is on my list too...one day.
There are a few copies out there, but this is definitely one of the better ones I have seen.
Cheers for the heads-up Wokka.
The beastie is looking good!
Dont't enter it!! Some of us still hold out hope of winning? ;)
Great result after a long journey - definitely in my top 3 this month.
Hey Andy, welcome.
Looks like Gav and DB have covered off your Q's - as we'd expect, both a yoda level gurus.
I use the steel rule method for lots of little jobs, often using sticky-back...
I see. Although right now I probably have more than enough to go on with.
So, decided to stick with the machine heads. As a result need to realign and reduce the tuner holes.
Sadly the 12 string head is a lot shorter than on the original EDS, so a few mods will need to...
Love the choice of bench cover - horns up!!
Dish the dirt men, are we getting closer on this one?
Pest, LP is like something from the ArtPunk Museum - like it. It reminds me of my first LP, a refinished (by me in Dad's shed) Yamaha lefty LP.
BG, I suddenly feel like doing a big hair-metal...
No complaints here.
Sooooo purple!
I'm keen to see it together; purple bod and natural necks, wild combo.
Cheers Wokka. Yeah i don't seriously expect anyone to have some.....
The location if the holes is actually not quite where i'd like them - so i aam toying with going back a step and filling them....
Latest lot of machine heads arrived with 8mm collars too, so I'm a bit overstocked!
Anyone have 18 vintage green SG/LP tuners with 10mm collars they want to swap?
Just got the first coat of...
Ha, no doubt Pest!!
Probably 6 once i see Wokka's SGD...
Marcus, what an amazing first entry - brilliant idea!
Glad I'm not judging this month, i now have 4 picks for 1st place ;)
Wokka,
You should hold it over, we can make next month the SGDtember GOTM ;)
Looks like a piece of fine furniture! Lots of great first builds this month.
Cheers Tim!
Gav (as we'd all expect) is quite right, unless you use shielded cables, but it looks like there is a few single-insulated ones in the loom.
Hey Tim,
Would you mind sending me a copy of the wiring diagram you're working from? Even though mine will be a 2-switch it might help me decide which way to go with the final build.
...
Nice. The dark timber is really classic - it is a good match for Rob's IB5!
Personally I think the white controls let it down, but the contrast is quite striking and I can imagine a lot of people...
