*** ZOMBIE THREAD ALERT ***
Was searching the inturwebs today for something else, and stumbled across pictures of this guitar in a Google search. Clicked on one of the photos that was listed as...
The thing about cutting metal that most people don't know is that speed is not your friend. Slow and steady is the ticket. Think of how slow the blade on a cold saw turns.
That's kind of what I was thinking as well.
I am bat-sh*t crazy over that name. ;)
I'll be interested to see how you go about cutting down the drum shell, Drew. I have an old Tama drum set I've been considering cutting down to be similar to...
Happy Birthday, Simon.
Liking the single cuts this month. Nice work, fellas.
What a great group of builds this go-around.
Yeah, I saw that they're back.
Nice! I'd really love to build an LP.
I buy the bulk strings from JustStrings.com. Their .009 & .011 are US$3.17/dozen. Not sure how that cost converts for you, or what shipping to OZ would cost, but maybe worth a look.
Nice! I've been playing a 6-string bass since '03. About a year ago, I changed tuning from B-C to E-E guitar tuning, as I really almost never used that low B string anymore, and the guitar tuning...
Nice work on the strat and the bike. Looking forward to watching this one's progress.
Nice work, Simon. Definitely not your average kit guitar with upgrades.
We can rock/paper/scissors over her.
I just got one, too, DM. They are persistent, if nothing else.

Sounds like the new studio is treating you well, Drew.
About a year or so ago, I switched to the bulk generic strings from JustStrings.com. Honestly, they're pretty good.
Rotosound set of four plus two singles for my 6-string bass are US$34.39/set...
Fantastic looking guitar, jmax. Congrats.
Welcome, from just west off I-70.
I've been eyeballin' some parts from them for upgrades on my Chibson Les Paul. Seems like a decent place, but I can see where shipping to Oz might not be the most economical path. I guess that...
My Jackson Dinky (reverse headstock) is still my favorite guitar ... although the Klein headless copy is quickly catching it.
Excellent guitars.
I want so badly to build a zebra strat. That looks awesome.

Oh, my ... how's that for a little light reading?
Nice! Both look great.
