Finished my Explorer, really great journey.
Crimson Amber stain with gloopy blackboard black on the front of the headstock. Finished with Danish oil. Haven't got the heart to cover the best flaming...
Ah I read the thread now I understand. I had the same issue with neck pickup space and cut a few mm off the end of the fingerboard with no adverse affects. Am eager to make another kit soon

Too many control knobs to choose from, and now I have discovered 3D printing an endless choice of ideas for the truss cover too!

Is back! Notice the bone nut. Luthier has strung it with 11s and reckons that when it warms up a bit the neck will bend enough to attach the nut onto the truss rod.

OK I took it to a luthier he found the reason the truss rod isn't doing anything is because it isn't together at all. Which is a big problem.
OK big problem. I took the guitar to a luthier for a final set up and he says the truss rod isn't engaged at all. I was wondering why it wasn't doing anything
The ancient Japanese hardware turned up from the same guitar the pickups came from allegedly

the bridge was lifting. I was quoted £180 to fix it or atrade in deal on another Tanglewood but I wasn't ready to part with it yet.
