Graphic Novel I've started working on, I have the story written, just hundreds of images to do next. :P
close to finishing this, there is a loose wire somewhere on the neck pick up, so I need to look at the wiring before putting the knobs on.
I used a Tune-o-matic style bridge instead of the floating...
thanks Fender. I'll keep those in mind. Odd they only give the length dimension and not the width or height
Thanks Weirdy, I thought as much but it's been so long since I did one I wasn't sure
hey guys, been a while. Real life has taken control.
I'm just finishing a DHB-4 bass and am a bit stumped on the pick up wiring. The kit comes with soapbar kind of humbuckers ( which I couldnt find...
aaaaaand finished!
So , end specs are : stained top ( mix of 20 parts red to 1 part blue U-Beut dye) burst done with a full size touch up gun as my air brush decided to die that day. ( auto...
No idea on the neck , but every aftermarket trem I've used ( Goto, Wilkinson) have fitted fine in the Pitbull bods. ( I'm talking the vintage style trems with screws not posts)
one more wet sand, then the polishing can begin. It's starting to take shape
my local panel supply shop said they can mix from Pantone numbers, def worth asking at Supercheap
I once built a super strat with Armstrong muthabuckers ,a humbucker and a single, however as each "coil" was actually a separate humbucker I used a Freeway switch and could have between 1 and 6 coils...
Jeez, what a terrible thing to happen to you. If it's all too much for you just send it to me. :p

and with the garden make over complete, I can get back to my slowest EVER build. Put the first clear coats on yesterday, sanded them and applied the headstock decals today. More clear tomorrow...
With life ,health and stuff it's been a while since I've done a build but... I'm back in the saddle. My original plan for this was to do it solid white along with the Gold Wilkinson trem and...
I actually made an error in my post, the pots are 250k, the cap was correct at .047. Generally I leave the tone pot around the middle and never touch it
Ebay purchases, just the thing to keep spare strings and the like in :D
And done! Still has chinese strings while the neck settles, then I'll put on something better and set the intonation but she sounds great, nice and twangy with the Tone Rider Rebel 90's. I used 500k...
Clear coats are on. On the home straight now

Not an option as far as I know.
That choice is entirely yours. Some people leave the spaulted ones bare and just clear coat them. I nearly bought an all black one in Japan, but the kit I built I did red/black burst.

yea for the F holes I used a really small brush 02 size, you can just rub the stuff off with your finger tip afterwards
tidy up, then clear coats to come.

Well, the silicone is easier to apply I guess. it defiantly seals the edges, is easy to get off. Overall, slightly better than tape in my opinion.
I used this one as I had it on hand for my scale...
Burst done, frets done, neck attached. Body staining tomorrow

I have one kit I have refinished and rewired 3 times, I'm happy with it now
