Is it easier to mess with the neck...

On my RD kit, the fretboard was also damaged on the 2nd fret. Not as bad as yours though!
I like the scratch plate, good job with that.

I´m confused with the height of the neck sitting in the pocket, is this ok, or not to high? and the angle?
