Oh sorry Wazkelly didn't see the other part of your question. The pick ups are great for what they are. They are not Hofner pickups but they are not far off them. I recorded with it the other night...

The intonation is good. It is on an angle because the string sadles are staggered on an angle along the bridge.

It's worth it. It sounds really good. I'm going to buy some flat wounds to make it authentic.
