Thanks guys. I'll reveal the double cut once I know if everything here works.

So, so very cool Phil! Very best of luck mate. I'll be watching this all unfold.

I'm not a big fan of less-traditional guitar shapes but I think you've done a cracking job there. It's different but without being outlandishly so (or trying to show off). Hope the prototypes go well and it all picks up for you. :)

Thanks to everyone for the positive words. I can't wait until I have something else to add to this diary, but it's going to be an exercise in patience for a little while.....

Looks good Sonic.
May there even be a chance of a lefty in the mix? 🎸

Sure, All I need to do is flip the templates :D

Bit of goofing around this morning.
More router practice on cheapy wood. Template works brilliantly. 10 mins from a bit of dressed timber to the basic neck shape with tuner pilot holes. Had a bit of a crack at shaping using a rasp and sandpaper. I think I'll get a round over router bit to do that bulk of that work and fine tune by hand. Also need a cove bit to do the cut away behind the nut, but overall I'm happy with the progress.
Already noted a couple of changes for the next run of templates, but so far nothing that I can't work around for now.

I used some short screws to attach the template to the wood, which works well, and the holes will be hidden, but I'm going to try some double sided tape as well. That seems to be the go and on bodies that don't use a pick guard it'll be tidier.
