Lol... yeah, character that has you wishing it didn't have...
Trouble is you guys only see the photos... the best photos... and not all the real life angles that spawn those wonderful ideas of "character"... Maybe I simply complain too much and need to take some new photos that highlight the issue... or maybe not...lol
2nd intensifying coat today. Starting to look pretty good I think. ( Lots of character lol )
Only decision now is whether to give another intesifying coat or go to the finishing coats.

Generally the colour does deepen over a few months as the finish totally cures. Not a lot, but a little. If truly in doubt, leave it a week and you may find patches you have missed that convince you to do a further coat.
Thanks Fretworn I'll try that
The 3rd intensifying coat finally dried so applied the 1st of the final coats today

Looks great... The photos give it almost a beaten Copper sheet look...
Nearly had enough of thie D/tone! Bloody stuff never seems to dry!
Applied the final top coat about 2 weeks ago. The colour had faded quite a bit from when the 1st coat was applied (see photos below)

Left it to dry for the last 2 weeks & it's faded a heap more (see photos below).
I've been putting it out in the sun each day. Could that be why it's fading so much?
