Never thought a skull on a guitar would appeal to me. That's amazing.
Sounds like a great idea.

Oh yeah, the man can paint. His wife too - you can see some of hers here.
I look forward to the day I can paint like them! Gotta keep practicing lol
This build is almost done. I got some polishing pads that attach to my drill, and it's done a pretty good job. It's not perfect, but I decided I don't really mind - I'm the only person who's going to see it in any case, and I just want to play it!
I started using multi contact jacks last year when Simon (I think?) posted about them on the forum. They make such a difference, I don't think I'd ever go back to using normal jacks.
Almost had a hiccup putting the Toneriders in - the kit screws were the wrong size. Luckily my misc. hardware box is getting pretty full, and I found three bolts with the right thread size so it's all wired up now, just gotta finish the neck and can start playing some tunes

Looks great
That’s looking pretty spanking from where I’m standing.
Nice. Very mirror-like! You could shave in that reflection!
Thanks for the kind words everyone!
It is *so* close to being done. I thought I'd finish it on the weekend, but it turns out the set of tuners I had that I thought were from a Pitbull kit were actually junk ones left from a repair i did (swapped for the Pitbull ones I thought I still had!)
as you can see they're pretty gross, so I'll put in an order for a nice new set at some point and then can finally string it up...

Cool, thanks Phrozin, I'll grab myself a set!
Well, last year was hectic and I somehow managed to go all year without touching a guitar or amp project!
I finally dropped by a local music store and bought some Gotoh tuners for the purple TL

Levelled and dressed the frets, strung it up, got the action nice, plugged it in aaaand - nothing from the neck pickup.
After 20 mins of troubleshooting it turns out the neck pickup just doesn't work, which is a bugger because it's a nice looking tonerider. The bridge pickup (from the same TR set) sounds killer, but the neck's been swapped out for the original kit PU.
I'll get some nice completed pics in the week!
