You've really got the finishing down to a fine art mate. Lovely to see your work as always.
I'm really keen to have a crack at the Rit dyes, but I don't have any immediate projects lined up that would suit.
cheers guys, Criky Ded your up to 15 builds your as addicted as i am, theres no reason why anyone cant do the same phil you should know that your pretty handy with a gun, have a go with the rit dyes i listed the ones that work great could also use them under wipe on polly and tru-oil been doing a 50/50 on the burst lately to try soften the transition, that was a rattle can clear as run out of clear and supercheap sold off all there 4lt tins of clear the buggers and i upgraded my compressor but took ages to get as they were sold out, just been so busy atm i got 2 new amps which i havent been able to tear myself away from lol you know how that goes but got some good kits to do so stay tuned

Hey . Nice build . I've got the same axe but I'm stuck trying to find the exact wiring diagram. Would anyone here be able to tell me where the two yellow wires and the black wire go the rest are done . Muchly appreciated
Hey guy finally got back to doing my guitars currently i'm on a hollow body i posted just doing the final set up and she be done i also got a SG from PB this week and an epiphone i picked up from Cash converters for $150, its a g400 body was pretty knocked around so luckily it all sanded out and i'm going to reclear it with some 2k as lacquer wont stick to the original 2k be interesting to see how it comes up, i dont have any SGs in my collection the SG from Adam is Mahogany not sure the model here some pic's

ok here's the PB SG
i have used Rit scarlet and done 3 coats of dye 2 I damp sponged off than left the last coat to get to the cherry i wanted, i have just got its 1st protective clear coats (3) used SCA rattle cans i always do protective coats over dye or stain, shes going to have Gibson 59 classic pups in it as i have had them for a few years and haven't used i'm tossing up if ill just leave it cherry or pop on a burst not sure yet SGs dont really look that good in anything than cherry or black, when this lot is done i'm going to start the PRS-1H & JM-1 i got a month ago from Adam i got a couple of finishes i want to try on them so stay tuned

How long between each coat of clear and did you block back at all?
