Ages ago I bought some nut bone blanks from ebay.
Can't remember how much but it must have been cheap.

There were originally 5 in the packet and at x2 per blank there's a total of 10.
What put me off was the fiddly size and no clamp to hold them in place whilst carving took place.
After my brain wave with using perspex and double-sided tape for the fret-board radius...

Using sandpaper and the 7.25" radius block I now have some nut blanks.

One at the top is first cab off the rank.
The two bottom are the original plastic ones that they will replace.
...and I was considering buying yet another Tusq nut..
cheers, Mark.
Looks great. Now you just need to build more guitars :)

Another candidate for a 7.25" neck radius conversion.
This time I carefully removed the frets and successfully replaced them after sanding.
Opportunity for yet another body re-spray.

At least this way you keep getting a new guitar without the need to buy another case or take up more space in the spare room!
Also, I think your speaker could use a re-cone...
Like sand through the hour-glass...so are the days of our life.
Another re-make on the cards.
Control plates will be fashioned from aluminium sheet.
Probably tackle another paint job. Maybe a pale blue this time.

You just can't help yourself, can you? :p
I know the feeling...
I've declared no new builds, but have a couple "re-imagining" (as Hollywood likes to say) projects that I'll be doing.
Hehe I guess we are like peas in a pod.
Maybe this is the one!

Just making sure it screws together before any 'finishing' takes place.

Also it's going to be red this time.
cheers, Mark.
