Good work!
oh thank!
you i like the shape ! today was fret planimetry and fret polishing , next step filing neck pocket holes for glueing the neck !
Someone on the forum did it many yeas ago.
Pretty sure it was an LP or a firebird build which has a bolt on neck.
I cannot remember how it turned out.
Didn't they screw and glue? But unless you are going to re-shape the neck and heel and maybe add some more wood to look like a set neck (and cover it up with a solid finish), I'd leave it as a bolt-on.
I'm just a bit confused now as the first PBG kit picture clearly shows a set-neck guitar, whilst the rest of the pictures show a bolt-on. Strange. But at least it gives you an idea of what a set-neck version would look like. Maybe the neck joint was too thin for a set-neck to work well, as there's not a lot of thickness in the main contact area for the neck heel, and what there is isn't supported by anything at the sides for approximately 3/5 its length.
holes filled , neck glued ( i will drill the plate at the very end), reshape angles . Next step primer ( white cellulose primer ) then Pelham bleu nitro paint. Do you think i can first fill pores with grain filler before spraying cellulose primer ?Attachment 36273 Attachment 36274Attachment 36275
