Bit of an update, I was up at MVC last week, they have produced an artwork for their shirts and logo, which is a monochrome turtle design. The bass is going to be done in this design by the kids in the indigenous art class. Still no photos, but when the kids get back from the holidays we should have something to see!!!

What a great idea! Look forward to
Seeing it

Ok here we go..... these kids have done an amazing job! I'll get it back and get some better pics during the school holidays and start to put it together. I think I'll need to sort a mini front pickup mount, really don't want to cover this paint job...

That's brilliant!
Could you get Pablo to make you a clear scratchplate and just spray the back around the front pickup area (rather like a paisley Tele)?

Might need ferrules for neck mounting screws and ditch the plate to save that part of the design on the back.
Looks great.
Is there much of a raised texture where the dots have been painted?

Excellent idea with the ferrules too! I have found a clear jazz scratchplate and ordered it. Figure I can leave the pickup cavity unshielded to show the purple under the pickup? I'll shield all the electrics under the pots of course.
Now where can I find the ferrules???
-
The dots will be raised I'd imagine, I'll clear it and leave the texture. It has been done inacrylic so an acrylic clear.

Found these on eBay.... https://www.ebay.com/p/SGM-Guitar-Ba...rome/917397742
Shielding under neck PUP may not be required. I used some of the conductive shielding paint in that spot on my J Bass and no buzz or noise. Seems to be a bigger issue with single coil guitar PUP's. Control cavity is where a lot of the hum came from and will need the copper tape to sort that out.
