Perspex Warlock Project

Hello, hope all is well with everyone.

I got my grubby paws on a Perspex Warlock Bass BC Rich copy by Haze and and actual BC Rich Vortex which was butchered by someone selling it on Gumtree. The necks matched and the intonation was perfect for me to see my idea come to fruition. Then i decided to install changing led lights. I also ripped out the cheap pick ups and installed a BC Rich in the neck and a Warwick MEC in the bridge.

Thank you DedMan, much appreciated. I like pushing the envelope with each build and custom restoration. Another way of learning is thru mistakes.

Just wondering how heavy is the perspex body?

I was in holden hill music on the weekend and picked up one of the nice looking acrylics, and can say it was very Heavy,

Yeah, most online reviews make that statement and suggest you need a lighter backup on hand if planning a long gig.

Here is something I came across which you may be able to interface to the lighting.

Ignore the bastardisation of the axe in the article - towards the end it details using an Arduino Micro to sense the sound and drive multi-colour lights.

I would suggest using a clone Pro Micro (about $6 on fleabay) instead - smaller, cheaper and the same microprocessor.
