Hello all,
I am a total, complete and utter non-woodworker who has taken a bizarrely sudden interest in understanding the inner workings of the guitars I have noodled around on for years. I will be lurking and reading as much as I can with a view to starting off very slowly (probably with a p-bass) and then working my way up from there. I don't have any tools or even a workspace, so this will be interesting to say the least!:D Thanks.
Welcome aboard. There are plenty of people doing 'dining room table' builds and getting great results. There is a wealth of knowledge on here - don't be afraid to ask 'dumb' questions. We were all new at this once.

Thanks a lot :) I don't actually own a dining room table or a dining room, for that matter. Frankly, I live like a monk. Rather than attempting some jerry-built OSHA fail workbench and losing several of my best fingers in the process, I was thinking of joining one of those men's sheds. https://mensshed.org. I didn't know they existed until yesterday, but they seem like a really great idea.

The best way to learn is by doing and along the way you pick up tools and knowledge before you know it your saying "Yup I know how to do that".

Welcome Trit. Never did any real woodwork until my first guitar. I still choose not to use electric tools and work on my back patio on an old rickety patio table. Queue Agent 86 "And........ loving it".
Don't wait to get started you will get all the help you need right here, we were all novices when we started.
