Hi.
I am Nathan.
I am new to guitar building and this forum.
Today I received my first project - the EX-1L. Yep a lefty.
Have been researching and reading this forum for some time. Am on leave from work and using the time to attempt to build the first of hopefully many beastly guitars.
I no doubt will reach out to members of this forum in the coming weeks / days / hours / minutes in order to make the right choices in my build.
Will do my best to document my first build.

Hi Nathan, welcome to the forum and what is starting to look like an Explorer appreciation/builder chapter.
It's coming up to that time of year again when behind enemy lines things can get a bit over the top when all you hear is how the Blues will conquer the Mighty Maroons.....haha, in their dreams, at least whilst JT, Cronk & Cam Smith are still in the team.
EX-1 was my 2nd build and only tricky bit is positioning the neck before gluing it in place. On mine I focussed too much on the scale length and only realised much later that there was no room left for the neck Pickup mounting ring so I suggest you triple check that part of the build before applying any titebond glue.
