2nd - SG-1F mod to a trip hum!

I'm baaaaaack!
Ordered my kit today! An SG-1F which I will be modding to a triple humbucker set up.
I'm going to do a purple fade from black with Either black back and sides, purple neck and black head stock face. Or black sides, back and neck with purple head stock face, maybe 2 tone fade.
I'm putting black hardware on it and going to custom fab my own bone nut again.

I'm doing push/pull pots each with vol/tone and a master vol.
Going to either do 3 way switch with mini on/off switch for middle pup or do a standard 5 way switch.

Also going to do a full face scratch plate, no 3 pup configs I've seen have a full scratch plate only the half one.

So many ideas! But I'm so keen to do another build. I will be doing my video diary again, that seemed to be a hit!
This build will take quite some time as I work full time and also am studying a bachelor of accounting which takes up a lot of my home time so when I have a spare moment I will be tinkering about.

I see you're from Nowra.
I grew up in Bomaderry in the seventies and later spent time at the 'Tross and then Creswell before moving to Tassie in '93
Played lots of Gigs there in my time too...... (I see that the Leprechaun has changed greatly)

May even be up there later this year visiting family......

Small world hey! I'm a local born and bred. Grew up in Berry then have moved around the Nowra region (minus myself living in Syd for 2 1/2 years) now my husband and I have built in South Nowra so won't be going anywhere for a while.
Yep it certainly has! I don't think 1 of the pubs is anywhere near the same as it was 20yrs ago

Nice one! Not enough 3 x h/b guitars out there, so, get in!!

My old Aria Pro is wired bridge and neck with a 3-way, and the middle straight out through a volume pot, which acts as a blend pot.... more options, perhaps?! :cool:

My pedal steel playing mate lives not too far down the road in Sussex Inlet, planning to head down there within the month to have a jam and get some steel licks laid down on some of our recordings

The donut van still runs! And the donuts are still the best!
Ahh the good old Top Pub! Grew up being very good family friends with a lot of the Thompsons :)

I still have nighmares when I think of the local radio station......
2st... no doubt they are still playing the same terrible music from the 70's :D

My parents still listen to it.....

believe it or not that thought has never crossed my mind.... I will at least take her to Husky to the beach haha

Sadly being an old fart this is often the case and even sadder is that most who have been born later will probably never know what it is like to play live 6 nights a week for years on end

Indeed, Dave. Although I only did three nights a week on average. Those days are long gone, it seems.....

I didn't realise what "hard working musician" meant till I came over here and did the clubs and pubs circuit - some of the distances between gigs took my breath away and some of the venues were, simply put, shitholes. For the most part, though, the audiences were pretty good.... as long as you played what they wanted to hear!! Can't remember ever doing the NSW central coast, though I'm sure we must have at some point, eh!!

So small! If I see you around I'll come say hi :) If you see a couple walking a big brown poodle that is me and my husband :) though our pooch isn't great with other dogs (got bit when he was younger 🙁)
