Glad you're back in the saddle Mick - love your builds and looking forward to this one. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Another build thread pictorial masterpiece on the way....
It's a really nice chunk of mahogany, 2 pieces and believe it or not that lighter part on the upper body is not a join.
Being an LP Jnr it's gotta be TV yellow right? or sunburst? or a Fender colour?

Very nice Mick - looks like a choice kit and looking forward to seeing this creation come together. You gotta love an LP Jnr !!
It was the best of times, it was the blurst of times...

In the photo, it looks like you're getting some reaction between the two finishes, especially on that top edge.
na it's just the weird light... could be that the burst is gloss and the rest is matt as well :)
Shaped and painted the headstock today... gloss black.
After it's cured i'll bung a decal on and gloss it.

Also hit the P90 cover with some off cream colour.

Nice work Mick, what type of paint did you use on the p90 cover?

Nice headstock design :)
You know that feeling when you're hooking into a build and it's all going so smooth you think to yourself... "I wish I could just start again it's all been ever so much fun and will be over too soon" so you strip the paint off and start from scratch.....

yeah me either.... but I did muck up the clear coat, so back to square 1 haha.
Nil Desperandum. Keep going, you'll get there in the end.
Mick what happened to the clear coat did it reject or wasn't compatible ? You did use two types of paint at the start from memory
Half the street learned some new words that day haha
Damn it must be an LP Jnr thing the cat left paw prints & fur across mine...

It might have been all the paint fumes from doing this in a confined space but for the first time ever... here's a colour photo from mid way through a build.
*insert utter shock and horror, rioting in the streets and the general downfall of society*
I don't know what you want to call it but technically it's a 5 colour burst and I'm damn stoked on it.... pity really hahaha

nice burst Mick you nailed it. Was that all done with spray gun or rattle cans ?
Top notch burst!

so now Mick while it cures keep any cats and sawdust WELL away from the axe haha
well done Mick to do it with rattle cans. Definitely you must have been high on paint fumes to post a colour pic this early. Black and white wouldn't have had the same effect anyway.
Would have been so easy to overspray an area you shouldn't have. Must have been done on a dry sump haha
A colour pic?

Love it.
nice job on the burst mick. looks sweet as
nice job for a rattle can, its really really hard to keep the black under control with over spray going where you dont want it and keeping it even will look awesome when it drop a load of clear on it
had a solid shed day today.... such paint, very fumes, many high.
I did unpack all the little bits and pieces that hold everything together though :)
