Hi guys
Ralph & Lisa here, we both have ST Kits and are looking forward to building our first guitar.
Welcome, enjoy the experience! Be sure to start build diaries when you get started.
Welcome!
Is it going to involve marital/partneral/friendly/sibling rivalry? I hope so :D
Look forward to seeing both progress.
Marital partner, I will try to do as much as possible without my husbands help. I know I will need help somewhere along the line though. Cutting headstock will be one, but I have actually done a rough draft for the shape I want which I am very pleased with. How do I start up a build diary?
Hi Dedman, I have seen your recent choice for the tidal wave effect, will look good I reckon.
Welcome guys. Enjoy your builds! It wont be your last.
cheers,
Gav.
Thanks guys for your support, we are looking forward to our experiences
Welcome aboard, Ralph & Lisa! You've picked the right place for any help or suggestions you may need.
To start a Build Diary, start a new thread in this section: http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...splay.php?f=56
Looking forward to how you go with your ST's.
Welcome along Ralph & Lisa - ST's - great choice for a starter kit. Don't be afraid to ask questions - 10 seconds of advice can save hours of work.
Hi Ralph n' Lisa. Great first builds you both have. I still love my ST-1 and still play it almost everyday.
Hi Lisa and Ralph, I can still remember the excitement/anxiety of building my first guitar, and it was an ST-1. Great choice.
As Brendan said, don't be afraid to ask ask questions. Remember, there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
Enjoy the journey and post lots of pics.

Hi Lisa and Ralph, enjoy your build, they are a lot of fun and sometimes swearing
Welcome Guys!
Thanks Swanny, very excited:)
Thanks for your support, I will need help from our daughter before I can upload any images.
Thanks Tony for your support, I hope all goes well on this project. We do not have a lot of experience in this field but are keen to learn. We did take a Squire Strat and redo as a SRV by sanding, staining and changing the pick ups to Fender Texas and tuners to Fender gold pearloid - Bridge to a vintage left hand tremolo - quite happy with how it turned out. We are huge SRV fans but could not afford to buy the real relic. We do have the Fender version that was released for everybody, but this does not have the relic done to it & I really like Stevie's number one guitar.
perfect kit for a project together, welcome and enjoy
