Hi folks,
New guy here. Getting back behind strings after a 30yr break  Haven't ordered a kit yet, trying to decide which one :P
I'm a graphic artist so it will probably end up...odd.

I like the sound of that! Welcome along!
welcome to the forum Dedman, seems we are welcoming a new member pretty well daily lately.
Once you decide on a kit start a build diary and let us know your plans. Plenty of help here on the forum
welcome mate, where are you from?
Welcome mate...
Welcome Dedman
glad to have you join the forum Dedman, what kit are you leaning towards ? What style of music do you like and will it be a 4 or 6 string ? or more stings ? haha
Well, I have incredibly wide taste in music (worked in a record shop for years and ran record fairs, yea records, the black round things :). ) But I have a thing for dark alt country that spills off into stuff like Nick Cave in one direction and off into some of the newer surf guitar in the other. Was part of the rockabilly thing for a while, but deep down the dark gothy stuff always bubbles to the surface.
So I have a nice shiny new Gretsch Electomatic and a little 20W Vox and was shopping for bits and bobs when I found the PitBull kits. I've painted a few cars and bikes and saya's (katana sheaths) and figured, wtf, I can build a guitar, that will be fun :D
sounds good Dedman, most people on the forum have a pretty wide variety of music tastes !
So are you after a solid body or semi hollow axe ? there are over 100 different kits to choose from so the range caters for just about everyone
You being a fan of records you could do a tele with a vinyl pickguard and control plate like I did !
In fact I ordered a Tele kit this afternoon :D
nice one Dedman, which tele kit did you order ? there are quite a few different models
TLA-1.
At this point it will be white with black pick guard in contrast to my other guitar which is black with white. I'll build it stock, learn some new skills, my be hot rod it later. :)
sounds like a great plan Dedman, so solid white paint or translucent ? What if the ash grain is really nice ?
Good to have you along Dedman
Solid White Wokkaboy.
Welcome Dedman... this is a pretty great forum to be a part of... I get confused by some of the Aussie lingo, but it's all good... lol!
