My guitar mentor from Florida ("the gator wrestler" AKA eS.G.) recently introduced me to PB.
Looks like PB has a good line of products and given my GAS problem may save me many $$$.

Welcome along. I think for me the best thing is actually understanding what's under the bonnet of my bass... If you settle on a build / or have any questions about the different kits - feel free to post the question - I'm sure you'll get an answer pretty quickly.
Brendan, I suspect you're correct about getting under the bonnet.
Member eS.G. named me "cork sniffer" long ago for spending and not building, well "the times they are a-changin".
Without doubt I'll be asking questions in the future but I'm unfazed at the prospect, I have a trade background and you blokes as backup.
Hi welcome to the forum cork sniffer,
hope you enjoy your build
which bass kit are you building ?
Small misunderstanding, I'm not a bass player, all of my guitars have six strings.
When this holiday period slows down and I have time to properly consider the PB range I'll make the call.
For the next couple of weeks I'll comb through older forum posts and talk with eS.G. about his build.
At this moment I'm leaning towards a hollow body, the wind may blow from another direction tomorrow.
Welcome to the madness CS ( at least you didn't grab the cork soaker name after the Jannet Jackson YouTube clip :D )
I'm up the road at the top end of the RNP and have built the ST & PBH kits from PB. And a TL kit from another source, I'm feeling a Starcaster kit may be just around the corner but SWMBO is starting to question the size of the herd and does not understand that each of my guitars has a totally different voice and feel
Oh boy here comes the neighborhood........
Welcome Cork good to have ya around.
LET THE BUILDING COMMENCE!
Welcome Cork Sniffer!
Again thanks all for the welcome.
I'm thinking I may start with an ES-12G kit, I can't find anything in the forum about them other than the sales presentation.
Ideally I'd like to see a couple of photos of members finished projects and read comments on the build.
Can anybody supply a link?
hey Corksniffer,
here's a link to Swanny's ES-12G build, its an absolute stunner and should inspire you to build one !

Thanks heaps for the link, don't know why I couldn't find it, I did put a lot of time into it to no avail :(
Man you're spot on when you said it should inspire me.
One problem ... my wife put her hand up for the upcoming build and her idea on finish is way different to mine so at this time I suspect we will be doing two ES-12G's this year .
YOu Cheeky MOnkey ..... 2!?!?!?!
I may have to undertake another build myself then......... The Ricki is almost finished.....just a few tweaks and she will be ready for her close up. ;)
I am LOVING this thing all ready
good work Cork Sniffer and ESG, this is a very addictive hobby and you were warned haha
look forward to seeing the Ricky pics ESG !
Just ordered my first from Pit Bull, an ES-12G but already thinking about my second.
Good grief, someone hit me on the head please.
well done Corksniffer,
I guarantee it won't be your last build. GAS is more addictive than any other thing/drug on the planet ! hahah
If I where closer I would be more than happy to oblige the hit on the head lol
Then I would clear out your "Strat Stash" and that sweet new TWEED Fender amp and run lol
Congrats my friend!
Cant wait to see the build thread!!!! ---- the sickness spreads ---
So how goes this adventure "MR Sniffer"?
Neck set and eight coats of clear applied.
It's going to be a simple matt finish.
I think I'll let it sit for a week and work on the electrics.
