Just to add some final touches to my builds I hope to either stamp or press a serial number to my builds and get that final, professional looking touch to the rear of the headstock. Any ideas on what to do?

If you go for the letter punch idea (which is a good one) make sure you can get a punch holder as these beasties are notoriously difficult to keep nicely lined up when used individually.
great idea DB, where can you get the punch holder from ? I've had a crack at single punches and it is hard to line up and get equal spacings.

Should be able to get the holder from a QUALITY tool shop, not the big green shed full of sh#t....
I've just been printing serial number decals that I put on the back of the headstock.
Yeah Fretty but my numbering system is based off Gibson's system which has the Julian Date, and of course I never hit any dates I plan :D

I took Andrew's advice as a suggestion that this is something like you could be looking for at a store other than the green barn...
