My 9 year old Daughter Ashlyn wanted a guitar of her own ( her 13 year old brother has a Cherry Red Strat!) so i decided to build her a Tele in her favorite colour Green .......... here it is so far painted in a metallic Sea Foam Green with a Mother of Pearl binding.

looks excellent Trevor, love the colour. The MOP binding and pearl pickguard suit really well. Did you do the binding yourself ?
-
Sure did ....... Ive set up my router just perfect for the 1.5 mm X 6 mm binding then is just a case of heating with a hair dryer and super glueing it down and taping it into place. Once Ive completed the color i use a razor blade to carefully scrape the binding down to the body as i have it sitting slightly proud and this also scrapes off any over spray on it -That's the teadous part - and then shoot clear lacquer over the whole body.
-
yer ok nice job Trevor. Thought your daughter may prefer the Kiss Iceman axe ! haha
-
She can fight over that with her brother when I depart this world Buddy !! Lol
-
haha sounds fair Trevor, I wouldn't part with that axe, its a ripper
-
top work Trev, that looks really good. Nice work with the binding
-
Holy crap, Trev. That is stunning. Everything on it compliments each other. Beautiful!
-
The metallic green with the MOP looks great. My daughter would be very jealous!
-
I'll be your daughter for that tele :P
-
One very happy 'customer' Daughter !!! Now for the lessons and the 'killing a cat' sounds from the studio .......... I put my parents through it so this is pay back I suppose ! Lol

Hey.... Now there's a smile that says it all.

Beautiful work Trevor! That's one nice looking tele. My daughter would love it too. Amazing job. Entering this in GOTM August?
cheers,
Gav.

great photo Trevor. Love your axe collection, didn't know you had 2 frankensteins. Got enough pickups in the double neck axe, that looks sick !
-
Thanks Wokkaboy - I built 2 Frankenstiens , One is a copy of the original Franenstrat and the other is a copy of the 5150 Kramer that Ed used in the mid 80s. As for the Double neck Kramer Sambora model, that's one heavy beast to play its sounds awesome but the weight makes it only a "show pony" Axe really !!! - ill get some better pics of the Tele tonight ( Ash has taken it to School to show it off !!) Lol and enter it in the comp. Cheers to every one for their comments ! Happy Building !
