Nice job. The bigsby just looks awesome huh? I barely use a trem but I'm pretty interested in trying one of these at some point.
I've never seen this thread before. Feel like the Sonicaster will fit right in.
Me three. My Bigsby style trem is purely for the cool look.

Not sure how well one would work on that traditional 3 saddle Tele bridge?
My first TL-1 build... Tele body, Strat headstock (sorry to the traditionalists, but have never liked Tele headstocks) so the name Strelecaster seemed appropriate... this was great fun and three generations of the family had a hand in finishing it. Stain is Dingotone Bushfire Sunrise. Above all I wanted to know if it was possible and it was (with a $50 local guitar tech setup for intonation and action).

My first build custom painted by myself in blood red candy marble effect with a black fade, neck stained with golden teak stain and finished with tru oil.
Hi Adam
I know that this is an old post, but I was wondering where you get your Wudtone from? I'd love to stain my Tele Kit just like you have using Wudtone Butterscotch.
Cheers Ross
This T-style, called "Brave Heart", was hand-painted on the body, using acrylic paints. The knot and snake patterns on the back were hand-painted, combining Celtic and Australian motifs from my life-journey. The Scottish flag is also painted in acrylic. On the clear pickguard, the image of William Wallace is reverse-printed to clear label material from a photo image, then applied to the reverse side. The body, neck and headstock were sealed with multi-layer guns stock oil, then the whole guitar was heavily reliced, using sandpaper, a beer bottle (to hammer sections), and graphite dust to darken. The guitar is converted to a string-through bridge.
Here ya go.
Stained blue with kids acryllic paint, then dingotone clear stain set over the front and the blue (also used on the neck).
Tonerider alnico 2's and then basically 2 on of switches (1 for each pickup) with associated volume.
"Gold" leaf on the front of the headstock, which I have found develops an interesting patina as the guitar ages,
My first ever kit build: a Pitbull TL-1. I was going for a seafoam green look using Montana MTN94 acrylic paint (matt) with a Montana 2K varnish clear coat. The maple neck and fingerboard were finished with multiple coats of TruOil with no stain. The pickguard needed to be trimmed to fit (I went a bit overboard trimming around the control plate but I plan to redo it at a later date!). Nonetheless, I'm still happy with the final result (it sounds good too!) :D
Extras:
- Wilkinson bridge
- Grover 406c tuners
- Bootstrap Extra Crispy pickup set
- Bone nut
- White pearloid pickguard

Just finished my TL-1. I rushed the paint job because I loathe painting. 4 coats of rattle can Pastel Peppermint and 2 coats of rattle can Clear Gloss.
Head stock is similar to my 1982 Vantage Avenger, which I think is much better looking than the fugly Fender one. Anyway, it plays and sounds pretty good thru my Orange Crush amp with my Line 6 Floor Pod providing heaps of amp emulations. Here's a pic or 3. Ummm, no pics, as I can't figure out how to add them.
My son and I collaborated on this one: he did the hard part (all the building), I just did the art and sealing.
All Pitbull stock except for the black pearloid pickguard. Wood burned, painted with acrylics, then finished in wipe-on gloss poly on the body, and satin on the neck.
