You're going to have fun with that. As long as you don't hide that gorgeous grain, you can't go wrong. Wudtone will look awesome. What colour?

Yes, DB sent me a pic of his little Wudtone cupboard where he stores all of his Wudtone.... There's more Conch Girl than you can poke a stick at!!! His beer fridge is empty now... So that has been filled as well :P :D

Looks amazing. That bridge is one serious bit of kit. Mind if I ask what the switch does?
It was originally set up to reverse phase but after several hours of trying to get rid of the hum I gave up and sine I already had the hole drilled I turned it onto a bride/ bridge and neck/ neck 3 way switch....may have a go at the phase reversal when I get some upgraded pickups!
you nailed it Gav, superb looking IB5, one coat of dark tease worked well, its slightly darker than my amber IB5, the bridge looks like an upgrade and keen to hear what the switch does ?

Gav - saving grace is that it means one less hanger for your tele at PBHQ. That said I did hear Ads talking about changing the hangers around so he could get a few more up...
That Bass looks absolutely stunning! That's the look I was going for with my STA-1, it certainly didn't look like that after the first coat! I think I may have mentioned in my build diary that I was trying to emulate this Bass but I attributed the build to Dingobass, sorry Gav!
@ Tim, Dingobass did build a dark tease IB-5 as well so you were correct, DB's was the first IB-5 kit built
Woks is correct. Since DB heads the BAS (Bass Acquisition Squad) there was no chance I could steal this one off him despite the surveillance I have secretly installed in his Man-cave. Only option was to do a blatant rip-off of DB's excellent job on his IB-5! :)) DB deserves the credit!
Ah fair enough! There are so many nice IB-5s floating around the forums I get confused... Both are exquisite!

Wow what a price! Looks really good though. The stock bridge on my bass is weird - doesn't align the strings properly although the bring is in the centre. I think it's got to do with the way the saddles are constructed.Quote:
