This morning I got a tour around the Maton guitar factory (you guys should know of them!), and all I can tell you was it was the best 90 minutes ever!
Pics will be up soon, most likely tomorrow or Saturday, im an Imgur album...

How cool is that !
So you got to see some of the best production Luthiers in the country working at one of the best Guitar factories around.
Hope you made a real pest of yourself :)
I sure did! You should come down to Melbs with Miss Fiona sometime and check it out! And they have some SM stuff, which I liked, especially the Fret Arbor!
Did you get to see the wood room?
Would love to get my flippers on their collection...

Yea, my jaw dropped and my eyes widened when I saw it!
Have you been to Box Hill DB??? Sounds like you have...
No I have not been there... DAMMIT!
One day I will be visiting and I expect a personal Pest tour guide :D
...and by that stage Pest had better own the place!
Haha, well, fly here, and book one (when you have time of course!!!)
I got a tour from the daughter of the founder, which was neat, and I met Andy Allen, the guy in the custom shop!!!
Alright guys, here's the album that contains all 70 pics (1/2 of them are really just the same things but in different areas!), check them all out!!!!

Wow Pest... Judging by the few blurry photos you were one excited boi! :D
Question. The last pic shows a broken? headstock on the floor.... Is this part of your video entry to Ormsby Guitars to get your self onto the custom build waiting list? 8O
That is a lot of pics! The day I went to the Sara Lee factory at Gosford I reckon I must've shot about three pics on the old celluloid, and I didn't see them for another month - mind you, that was in 1985. The tours do appear to have had something in common, though - they both ended in the seconds shop!
The smell in that place must've been amazing. Ah, wood.
Hey Pest!
Thanks for sharing these!
DB: Uh Huh!!!! I was like a 3 year old me inside a toy shop :D
And, the broken headstock is to show Perry what happens when you aren't careful ;)
Glenn: The smell in there WAS amazing!
Gav: No worries! I was glad to share my awesome experience!!!
