Holy dooly! I didn't really like the look of these kits, but this is pretty special. Glad to see some burst finishes showing up, it's answering a few questions i had.
Yeah, the look of this kit didn't appeal to me at first, but then I saw the burst and I now wanna get my hands on one of these!Quote:

Bloody hell DB, that looks stunning.
I don't even have a bass amp, but I'll still gladly keep it here.
Wow! Nice one, DB.
Sorry Adam, you will have to tear it out of my cold, dead fingers first! :PQuote:

Hahahahaha. Hahahahahahaha. Bwahahahahahah classic.......
so the neck gets glued in BEFORE putting top coats on the body?
Every time I look, I get 7 more questions...."Dave, my mind is going, I can feel it".
No, you complete the body and neck separately leaving the wood bare at the neck join so the glue can adhere effectively.

Great pickup on the arcane HAL reference....still one of the great voices in movie history. Douglas Rains
Two part question:
do you need to shield the hollow body?
how would you shield the hollow body?
and a thought, how about a reverse burst with darker in the center, lighter on the edges?
