Hey guys, I'm at final construction phase of building as I've gone to do my nut I've realised that the high octave strings come off the bridge at a drastically lower height than the low ones, and I don't think they are individually adjustable, at least from what I can see. Included some pics for reference. Any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Aren't they adjustable by turning the two little allen bolts at the front of each saddle?

Are the strings under tension? Are the saddles at the same height when looked at from the front?
The strings are under tension in the first pic, slightly looser on the 2nd. No, the saddles for the high octaves strings are about 1mm lower than the deep ones. Very confused about it, is this just a cheap Chinese parts problem?
Can you post a photo from the front of the bridge.
I'd email Pit Bull about it. I haven't heard anyone mention this before on the 12-string builds (and I'm normally pretty good at remembering issues like this) so it may be a duff batch of bridges. But take some photos showing the difference in saddle heights to avoid any conjecture.Quote:

I found the thicker strings take a little while to bed down.
I tuned mine up and then took the three lowest (E, A, D) up another 1/2 tone and then left it for a week to settle. Still a little bit of upbow on the low strings after I re-tuned but it does not seem to affect intonation or playability.

Looking at the saddle design, the thick strings need to go on the smaller adjustable position saddles as they will need to be set back further for intonation. At their furthest forward position, they look to be equal with the fixed saddle position (so fine for the top two equal sized pairs). So they work on Colin's bridge for L/H use, but not for a R/H use with that string orientation. But even so, the saddles should still really be at the same height. They certainly would be on an acoustic guitar.
Something is not right here.
I've strung the whole thing up and brought to tension and even the high Es and Bs are completely misaligned. There is slight gap between the sets of strings and I can see all the high octaves lined up perfectly about 1/2mm-1mm below the lows.
Also the nut is cut for low octave underneath and the style I'm used to with a 12 string.
Is this just a completely misbuilt bridge? I feel like it should be a left handed bridge but traditionally the low strings should be coming through the ferrule holes right?
I now see that there are two holes that the locking screw for the small saddle can go in, so the bridge can be used for either L or R hand use. Saddle height aside, I think you'll probably need to move them to the forward hole to get the intonation correct. Which may mean that the overall saddle height adjustment screws need to be at or below the level of the saddle plate so that they can be moved forwards. Which may possibly mean adding a very small shim to the neck to get a bit more string height at the bridge.
But those saddles need to be level. I'd ask Adam to sort you out a bridge where the saddles are level, as that just doesn't seem right.

Worth checking the saddles on that are the same height, as I've seen someone else with a similar issue a couple of days ago here.
Also, the second set of holes for the smaller saddle piece on that same bridge hadn't been tapped, which meant that the saddle locking screw couldn't be moved forwards in order to put the saddles in the correct position for intonating a right-hand strung guitar. As they come set up from the factory, the small saddle can only move backwards from the main saddle position. But on a right-handed guitar, with the octave string on the bass side of the pair (and so on the smaller saddle), that saddle needs to go forwards of the thicker string saddle. If the hole isn't tapped for the screw, then it can't be.
They appear to be copies of a Gotoh bridge (both the full Tele style bridge and the shorter version), and I know that on those Gotohs, the saddle heights are equal and both of the smaller saddle holes are tapped.
I had a similar issue with my 12 string. In the end I swapped out the bridge for a Gotoh one. Never looked back.
