Dedmans FV-1G
Finally made a start on this.
Sanded, attempted to get the glue marks off the top, got most but there are some stubborn deep ones right on the edges that wont budge so I may dab some black paint on them and do a very fine burst on the edges in black,
back and the back of the neck will be straight black stain. Will finish in Naughty oil, and all the hard ware is gold,\sorry for the blurry pic, battery was too flat for flash

Purple and gold? Can't wait to see it finished!
-
Purple rocks, this will look amazing
-
Nice one Dedman. Purple headstock too?
Diamond shaped jack plate looks a bit odd as the FV-1 comes with a round one?
-
Yup Waz, purple headstock too. Not sure about the jack plate yet, might do a whole new scratch plate and make something to match
-
Yeah, that bit up between the PUP's does look a bit strange. Pity the controls weren't rear mounted as an all over maple top would have looked great and made the scratch plate obsolete.

Great colour Deddy! Personally the jack plate is the one thing holding me back from one of these kits. I might see if Ads can special order one with the output jack on the inside of the V and not the front. That not withstanding this is gonna be a killer build. Will be watching with anticipation!
cheers,
Gav.

Some progress made before the rains came, took the masking tape off today, a few small touch ups to scrape on the binding
