Hi all,
this is one of my 2nd birthday sale kits I wanted to show off, I haven't had time to take photos of any other new kits yet. It may be a while before I can start on this, got a few projects to finish first but I'm planning to try Karajini red Dingotone on the cap and mahogany or jarrah stain for sides/back/neck. Can't wait to see first coat !

Dang Wokka! You scored big time with this one.
-
cheers Fretty, there were heaps of words of joy when the cover came off the box and I unveiled the body !
It has one of the tightest necks I've seen which is excellent. I may even have to sand some of the neck heel
-
You must be almost tempted to clear coat the top and leave it at that!
-
yes tempted Fretty. After seeing carmine gypsy on a spalted HB4 (can't remember the builder) I am keen to see how it turns out. Plans may change between now and when I get around to starting. Might rub a damp cloth over it to get an idea of what clear coats will look like
-
That figure on the cap is insane man, what a score!
-
cheers Barge, I was pretty chuffed and pumped when I first saw it. Looking forward to the 3rd birthday sale already haha
-
Yeah great score you've got yourself there Wokka. Very jealous over here - an absolutely amazing cap. I like the sound of the carmine gypsy on this guiatr - from memory it looked like a wine red in the end. Would be damn sweet!
cheers,
Gav.
