HOLY CRAP! That is awesome!

unreal Lachlan, that is so original and love the rustic effect. Even the off centre headstock shape works really well with the pyrographics and custom pickguard, a very worthy contender !

Another lefty! Awesome originality, love the fretboard and the Angus style lightning bolt design, such great touches

Hey guys,
Well... I was not sure whether would enter the Matriarch into the guitar of the month or not, but in the end decided I would. Many of you are aware that it was built to honour my 101 year old grandmother who bought me my first guitar when I was 12 years old and has encouraged me musically ever since (as stated on the neck plate). So here it is in all its glory. The only mods are an ESP humbucker and roller string trees.
Also, I have received a lot of advice and encouragement during this build from many forum members and for that I am grateful.
Cheers,
Lawry

I don't mind admitting that I teared up a little when I got to that last shot of the neck plate. You have done an amazing job with this one Lawry, and the story behind it just adds to the experience of witnessing what you've created. Bravo!
