Hi everyone, first post... I'm Mick.
I've got a custom ES kit on back order but until that arrives I thought I'd introduce myself and share some of my other builds/collection
I've only ever done scratch builds from slabs of timber (the LP on the far right) and i guess one kit if you count piecing together a guitar from a blank body (the Tele on the far left)
I've got another half finished scratch build loosely based on the love child of a PRS and a telecaster which I'll post some photos of later.
I'm really looking forward to the getting stuck into the ES, the have a great tone and if mine turns out half as good as the ones I've seen on here I'll be more than happy.

Welcome Mick to the PBG clan look forward to your build diary

Hi Mick, that's quite a collection of guitar stands you have there, some nice guitars too. :)
That L.P you made looks a treat, and the Tele you put together looks well worn. Was the body like that, or did you do a relic job on it?

Hi Mick, and welcome to the PBG family.
A lovely collection of guitars you have there, can't wait to see what you can do with a PBG kit.

G'day Mick and glad to have you on board ... seriously nice collection you have there ... (Hey Adam he's got a Banjo! - another one for "our side"! :D ... just to explain, Mick, some of the "less cultured elements" 'round here like to poke fun at banjo's :D - but some of us love 'em!)
We'll all be looking forward to seeing your build diary as the ES progresses, so take lots of pics!

welcome Mick, enjoy the forum!

Hi Mick. Welcome to the madhouse. You have a fantastic varied collection of guitars there! And don't worry about Scott, to me he seems harmless enough ;-)
Please do start a build diary and flood it with everything as you go. Watching others do their builds has helped me a lot and It's great to see the kinds of ideas people come up with to make the guitar 'theirs'. Cheers.

Welcome Mick! I look forward to reading your build diary. The ES is one of the most rewarding kits in the pitbull range IMHO. I'm sure you will have a blast and love the result.
cheers,
Gavin.

cheers guys!
Scott, I don't know why everyone doesn't have a banjo! It's impossible to play one and not have a giant smile on your face :D
Here's a few pics of my LP scratch build... its an LP shape all routed out internally with SG wiring and a bolt on neck. It has sustain for days and you can tune it down to B without any huge issues.

Danmade, the body started out as a brand new piece of swamp ash until I got my hands on it. I love the tele tone and got the idea of doing a '52 tribute' in seafoam green... it turned out colorbond do a green that looks almost identical to a yellowed worn out seafoam green.
