hey guys thanks for your help. unfortunately my bridge is the narrow 2 1/16 the one above is too wide which is a bummer. i meed thw 52.5mm bridge. so bloody technical as there way to any options. lol
with the info i have been given i keep an eye out for what is best. thanks again guys for your help
At least you now know the difference and what to look out for. Could have been an expensive and time consuming exercise otherwise.

is this one any good. or do i have to gwt the $205 one. which honestly probably really good but a bit high on the budget.
It might be worth slackening off the E strings slightly on your guitar and pulling the outer E strings out to 54mm to see where they sit on the guitar neck (you might need some help with the holding and measuring). Despite all my previous warnings, if there's enough width to the neck, it might just work. But always better safe than sorry.
i think i found a wilkinson bridge. it's the right. what you reckon?
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/311889325927
it is 54mm so a little wider
thanks again Simon ill look into that. great idea.
No idea buddy. Babbicz are supposed to be good gear however that one doesn't specify what the trem block is made from. Surely any upgrade would be better than the Chinese mystery metal in the standard kit units.
Probably need to ascertain why you need to upgrade? Stock unit is functional to a certain degree and most upgrades would help with better saddle adjustment (action & intonation) and also tremolo function. No point spending money just to say it has a @#! fitted if it makes stuff all difference. It would be a bit like Nigel Tuffnel from Spinal Tap making a big deal out of their amps being louder as they go up to '11' if you know what I mean.
hey guys, hope you are all well. just wanted to let you guys know i have replaced the standard plastic nut to a bone nut. and holy crap it made a huge difference. yes i have read about it and all you guys did say to replace the nut to bone but i didnt think it would make this much of a difference. i got some genuine fender steel saddles on the way and i have locked up the bridge, i cant wait for them either. if they do half the job the bone nut does im going a unbelievable sound strat. sorry but this guitar just gets better everytime i play it.
That's great to hear!
