If you don't have the right tools to cut string slots best to buy one pre cut otherwise things could end up messy and less than perfect.

Agree. If you don't have the correct files I highly recommend a DB pre cut and slotted nut. Then you can get to correct height by sanding the bottom of it squarely

Here is 'Blue Lou' Short for Lucille from Cool Hand Luke....Shes Poppin....She hasn't been polished yet and no string trees, and not wired up..I am just installing the bridge for string alignment,, the strings real lose and action is 1 inch!!.... She has to mature a bit before a cut and polish.... But she does look fine without make up...

@ HoneyBadgerJM Here's a tip for you, if you're using a PC to get online and you're after a handy app for resizing pics that you want to upload to your thread, check out this link:
http://www.irfanview.com/
The app is a free download, ie it costs nothing, make sure you also download the plugins too, I use this app all the time.
Hey Doc know you being helpful but I dont do 3rd party uploads...I just resize.. I know how to do it...but if if you look at my photos just look.. I dont want to click on yours and go to some 3td party web site....My Opinion dont debate it..My View...And as Such makes it right.....
Tend to agree as when being redirected to photo bucket not sure where things might end up and generally click off before it loads. Might be safe but working in a corporate environment for many years has taught me to be overly cautious when being redirected to external 3rd party sites.
Just wondering is that your Tonka Truck in the background of 1st shot?
