Restained the neck, added a bit of stain to the poly rubbing mixture, then resanded the body with 600 then 1,000 grit wet n dry. Gave it 3 coats of Matt Black base coat.

Heres a bit of randomness, sorry couldnt help myself for continuing to go off topic. if imm banned to the naughty house ill go quietly. The holden was mine in my younger days and the ford ute was at a house i painted recently..

I bought it already modified cosmetically, premier with gts guards, statesman front assembly with grill, front end, disk brakes etc, but with 161 red motor and 3 on the tree. So i swapped it out for a 253 with 4 barrel holly and trimatic gbox. Sold it to a young lad who lent it to his girlfriend who promptly wrapped it round a tree.Quote:

Not many XY GT utes around these days is it original ? would be worth a bomb if it is.

nah all good Nitro don't worry, threads and build diaries get jacked to the max all the time. It would be bit of a hassle for the moderators as its in different segments of this thread. From now on you know where to post the petrolhead stuff
