Hmmm, the quick connector 'Bullets' you are talking about would probably rattle if there is any slack in the cables. Maybe some construction grade double sided tape like they use when putting up mirrors in new homes might be strong enough to hold/anchor things once threaded in place? It would need to be placed just underneath the arched top inside any holes where a pinky could assist locating cables to be caught in this version of a fly trap.

Worked fine outside the body. the problem was putting it inside. I used full sized Gotoh pots, which are some of the biggest you can get.....whilst I like them...not the best choice for this build. I ended up snapping some of the solder joins trying to pry them into the guitar and had to resolder. I thought i'd fixed it all but alas, once I had it all in place.....she no work....I must have stuffed a few.
sooooooooo
I've ordered CTS mini pots and will rewire the lot.....I'll use the gotohs on another LP copy i got lying around.....twas a good excuse to buy more toneriders....

encountered a bit of a problem, when i was pushing the neck volume knob on, I pushed too hard and busted out the bottom of the pot! had to pull the whole loom out to put the pot back together (that'll learn me). When i was pulling off the neck tone knob to take the loom out i pulled the shaft straight out of the pot! DOH DOH DOH DOH!!!
One day i'll finish this build.
Its okay I put it back together and re-installed. I've left the knobs off the for time being till I calm down.

hey Andy well done getting it working, it really does your head in when you get the problems you did.

Now I know why I haven't seriously contemplated doing a hollow body yet.
Took me about 4 hours just rewiring the EX-5 yesterday mainly because I haven't done any for a while and had to keep running into another room where the EX-1 was opened up as a reference for what I was trying to achieve. Could probably do it all again tomorrow in less than half that time now I know what goes where, but ask me in another 6 months and most will probably be forgotten.
