yeah great tip Barge. I use a similar method for drilling tuner holes on scratch necks. Drill a small pilot hole through all six holes and drill halfway through with a 9.5mm drill then coming from the underside eliminates tear out. Or you can clamp a scrap piece of wood to the bottom side

yeah Barge how many times have you drilled all the way through and it tears out a chunk on the bottom side - dohhh
