Yes McCreed, I tested it with a multi-meter, continuity was not an issue. I did not have to solder between. I just made sure the tape went over the edges of the cavity so contact was made with the aluminium tape on the inside of the back plate.:cool:

A good thing, as you can't solder aluminium (with normal solder at least).

Thanks Waz. Yes, it reduced it quite considerably. it was almost unbearable before

Nah from Jaycar
Much much cheaper than copper tape

The slug tape is copper not alu. Quite cheap from BGS too. Conducts beautifuly and as easy as the expensive stuff to work with. I usually lay some thin kanthal wire between cavities for easy continuity.

Hey mate, beautiful job on the stainwork, looks very professional. SG s usually dont look so well stained, they look patchy but you aced it mate.
