You know, these guitar makers come up with some truly bizarre ideas on what a guitar could look like, either that or I'm too much of a traditional Conservative....hahaha.
Yikes.. Some good ones there. I have to dig out some photos of a very strange bass guitar I restored back in the 90's. Came to me in pieces and looks a like a banana.
Actually never mind I found a photo online - not a bass - but looked exactly like this (the yellow one) - no trem arm and I had to make a new scratch plate for it. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3463/...40365689_o.jpg

Ah, the Flying Samurai/Flying Banana. Apparently they play fantastically and are quite sought-after.
