Pretty sure it's poly, so those will fill as he continues to coat and be invisible, this look like the first laydown with a spray can and it can look a bit crap until it builds up a bit.

Dayum. That is a fine nut you have there
you really are a craftsman Franky despite what those fools at Med School said
First time I've caught up with this build for a while.
Geez Franky, you are setting the bar high for the rest of us!!

Awesome to see this one approaching completion.
Dang Frankie! Way to make a guy feel inadequate...... ;)
Wow ...just wow.
@ Frankenwashie Wow.....looks awesome, is that a pre-made brass nut or is it one you made yourself?

I wholeheartedly sympathise Igor.
@ Frankenwashie Since I know from first-hand experience how difficult it is to make a nut from scratch, both you and Igor have my sympathy too.
Maybe I just need more practice to build up my nut-making chops to a good standard, it's not very often that I make them, I found that it doesn't take much to ruin a nut that I've put a lot of work into making, the slightest mis-alignment of the nut-slotting files and it's a case of start from scratch again as I found out when trying to cut a new bone nut for my Fender USA Strat.

That is one drop-dead gorgeous guitar, Frankie.
Well done mate, feel very proud.
Dude. Off. The. Chain.
I've been waiting to see this in it's full glory. Can't wait to see/hear more
Looks gorgeous!
Unreal man. What an epic it’s been. Looking forward to hearing it!
Step back, have a good look and feel proud. What a wonderful job. Looking forward to the sound demo.
Wow. Happy Days.
Congratulations Frank. An epic result!
cheers, Mark.
Awesome Frankie! Great job! How do you find the low profile volume and tone knobs? Are the easy to adjust when playing?
Sorry Fretty, I missed this one.
So far, the low profile knobs are fine. There is more than enough height to curl my little finger around on the fly.
I’m likely going to have to redo them though as the mounting hole in the know was just a tad loose so at the end of travel the knobs can move on the shaft.
I will have to go back to drawing board on how I do these, it may require a Center sleeve with a grubscrew to lock them down.
