Woks, I blew at least 4x gaskets and created some new unsavoury language!

haha I bet a few choice words were said Ponch. Oh well sure you will repair it, might take 2 or 3 goes to fill the gap. Good luck buddy. Hopefully on an upwards and colour coats soon !
Hi Ponch, I feel your pain as a similar thing happened on the Swampy Tele a few weeks ago. At least your oops will be hidden under paint. Mine is going through the TO refinishing stage after carefully sanding out as much of the dings as I could. Tends to dampen your enthusiasm for a while and hope it doesn't cause you too much heartache getting it back up to where it was at before the fall.
Ouch! Remember that happening to my PB-4. I invested in some rubber matting after then. Thankfully I haven't had to try them... Best of luck getting it back to where it was before!
The never ending build continues! Way too hard filling in the dings... just whack out the jigsaw for some offset fun. Rasping tonight oh yeah. Also whilst I’m at it the colour scheme/theme is to change. Anyone know where I can get some metal orange pick guard material?
The headstock is also to be adjusted to Tele style

Good idea Waz, I’ll investigate.... The dings - it fell off the workbench a while back. I was going to fill the gouges but have since decided I have j-basses covered in my current collection - so going for something different....

Fair call. I try not to have too many of the same shape as that tends to get boring.
With powder coating you may have to find someone to cut the metal to desired shape or they may be sophisticated enough to have a computer aided laser cutter and a suitable sheet of flat aluminium to work with.
Close of play today. Rasping almost done. I’ll clean up the lines during 80 grit sanding session
I’m now thinking of an mmb4 style pickup for the bridge, no neck pup. Would be nice if coil splittable...

That top horn looks a little sharply pointed to my eyes. Are you planning to round off the edges on the areas you've modified?
Cool. Have fun sanding!
Hey Ponch, looks like you're having lots of fun.
Stock MMB kit PUP's are 4 wire so coil splitting is an option.
Jag-bass coming up!
Yep, heading in the Jag-ray direction!

wow Ponch you have really changed the shape, should look cool. As Simon says I'd round off the top horn. One single MMB pup coil splittable would be cool
might as well add active pre-amp Ponch. You will need to route out for a MMB pup as well
